Canada is home to many prestigious universities

, which attract over 300,000 students each year from around the globe. Each year, a number Canadian universities must hold advanced positions in international rankings. 26 Canadian universities were ranked in the QS World Ranking this year. This ranking is based upon six criteria: The academic reputation of 40% of the total ranking. 20 percent of faculty members are students. The rate of research published by faculty members, citations of scientists in the world for research submitted to the university by academics and researchers at the university, by 20%. An analysis of opinions from employers of universities and companies on the performance and readiness for university graduates has been reduced by 10%. The university offers a 5% percentage to international students. The university has 5% foreign faculty.

1- University of Toronto

In 2019, the University of Toronto was ranked 28 on QS's list of Canada's top universities. The university was ranked 18th in the world in academic reputation standards and among the top 50 universities for opinion polls by employers regarding the performance of its graduates. Other Canadian universities were not included in the QS rankings for 2019. Simon Fraser University was ranked 264th. Dalhousie University is ranked 279th in the world. University of Ottawa, which ranks 289 in the global rankings. University of Victoria was ranked 359. Laval University is ranked 402 worldwide.

2- McGill University

McGill University, an international research university in Montreal, Quebec, was ranked 33rd this year in the QS ranking. Because it attracts students from over 150 countries, it is one of Canada's top universities for foreign students.

3- University of British Columbia

The University of British Columbia climbed four places to rank 47 in this year's top 50 universities. It is located in Vancouver. The university has graduated eight Nobel Prize winners and approximately 71 Rhodes Scholarship recipients who will study at Oxford University.

4- University of Alberta

The University of Alberta, located in Edmonton, is a key driver of Alberta's economy. It contributes 5% to the province's GDP each year. It was ranked 109 by QS University Rankings 2019, and is considered one of Canada's best universities.

5- Queen's University

Queen's University can be found in Kingston, Ontario. It was ranked 10th in Canada's top universities for many years. It is now ranked 239th worldwide according to QS ranking. Queen's University, Canada's oldest university, was established in 1841, 26 years before Canada's founding.
